My name is Liam and I am ever so grateful to be the newest addition to the Mountain Top Explorium Team! I was brought on as one of two Explorium and Program Coordinators, for duties including advising our After School Program at Upper Blue Elementary as well as planning and managing our Summer Camp Programs.
I have a deepening passion in working within childhood education. I began as a soccer coach for Soccer Shots in Richmond, VA while working on my degree in History from Virginia Commonwealth University. These programs were focused around promoting exercise, teamwork, and confidence in children aged 2-8. I soon moved into program coordination and camp planning for that same company. Upon graduation, I moved to the mountains of Stowe, Vermont to instruct children in Snowboarding and spark passion of both snow sports and protecting the winters we are lucky enough to still have. During that time, I also coached tennis for the notable Trapp Family Lodge for children and adults alike.
I continued working for Vail Resorts upon my arrival in Breckenridge this past November and now find myself where my true dream lies, in STEM education with Mountain Top Explorium. I have always been passionate about promoting both environmentalism and education in my interactions with youth and MTE’s values align perfectly with mine. The dedication of the staff and Dave Miller truly show that this organization is driven by love of the children of our community and inspires me to have that same motivation every day. I could not be more excited and grateful for the opportunity to bring my positivity and experience in childhood recreation into the wonderful world of Mountain Top!
