Summer Camp Supervisor

Mountain Top is in search of someone amazing to help facilitate our Summer Day Camp and it's employees.

The position run from June 1st - August 31st, 2021. Base wage $15.00 - $17.00 /hr based on experience. End of summer bonus given to employees who stay the entire summer.

DESCRIPTION

Mountain Top is seeking dedicated, highly responsible and customer service oriented individuals for the position of Day Camp Program Supervisor - Summer Seasonal. The individual in this position is responsible for working with children/youth at Mountain Top’s Day Camp, primarily ages 5 years – 12 years old. The duties will primarily involve supervising children ensuring positive interaction; maintaining even control and resolving disciplinary problems; planning and leading camper activities and ensuring children/youth are engaged and participating fully. Day Camp Program Supervisor is also responsible for assisting and directing Counselors/Leaders to facilitate the activities throughout the day including: interacting with the campers and parents, being accountable for the campers at all times, and operating within State Licensing requirements for Mountain Top's Summer Camp program. Day Camp Program Supervisor is also responsible for adhering to proper check in and checkout procedures; providing excellent customer service and responding to phone and in-person inquiries; and supervising children in the center while providing a fun and safe experience. This position may also be responsible for leading games and activities; providing snacks; assisting children in the restroom; cleaning and sanitizing the work area; and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To qualify for this position the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Training and experience in customer service.
Verifiable education or training in work with school-age children and must have at least one of the following qualifications:
- Four year college degree in recreation, early childhood, outdoor education, education with emphasis in art, or a subject in the human service field, or
- Two years of college and 6 months (910 hours) of verifiable hours working with 4 or more children after age 18, or
- Three years (5460 hours) of verifiable hours working with children in such areas as recreation, education, scouting, or 4-H

WORK SCHEDULE

Primary shifts for this position include four 10 hour shifts between Tuesday-Friday 7:45 AM-5:45 PM, up to 40 hours a week. Employees will have weekends and one weekday off per week with opportunity for more hours in our Kid's Night Out program.

Summer Camp Counselor

Mountain Top is seeking dedicated, highly responsible and customer service oriented individuals for the position of Summer Day Camp Lead - Summer Seasonal.

The position run from June 1st - August 31st, 2021. Base wage $13.50 - $16.00 /hr based on experience. End of summer bonus given to employees who stay the entire summer.

The individual(s) in this position are responsible for working with children/youth at Mountain Top’s Day Camp, primarily ages 5 years – 12 years old. The duties will primarily involve supervising children ensuring positive interaction; maintaining even control and resolving disciplinary problems; planning and leading camper activities and ensuring children/youth are engaged and participating fully. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have received a high School diploma or GED or currently enrolled in High School.
Must have 1 or more years of customer service experience
Must have experience working with children (minimum 460 verifiable hours)

WORK SCHEDULE

Primary shifts for this position include four 10 hour shifts between Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, up to 40 hours a week. Employees will have weekends and one weekday off per week.
